Happy Tree House BBQ Kingsway木屋炭烤(溫哥華店)

Late-night dinner at Happy Tree House Vancouver. I’ve frequented this place several times and it never disappoints. If you like Chinese-style BBQ, then this place is for you. We ordered several skewers: lamb kebab, pork belly, ox tongue, chicken hearts, pork intestine, and okra; a plate of crispy tofu; two mini bowls of steamed rice; and two bottles of Tsing Tao. We paid $105 for two people, including tip. It definitely filled up our hungry tummies. The service was fast and pleasant. For a Tuesday night, Happy Tree House had a lot of customers. Will definitely go back!

Perfect for groups! We were a group of 8 and ordered almost the entire menu – perfect way to try everything! It’s a great spot for groups since they have semi-private spaces that feel cozy yet open. The vibe is lively, the menu has great variety, and the staff are super friendly. I cannot really say anything about the tastes,since I do not have so much experience in Korean food

Overall experience is above average here. I came here with two friends for dinner. We called to make reservations a few days in advance. We got a table right away. We went on a Friday evening. The restaurant was almost full. We ordered a lot of different skewers, veggies and even cold noodles. Although the menus stated spicy having a red pepper next to the items, they were not too spicy. But we found the jelly fish was more spicy than others. There is street parking and a parking lot in the same complex. Plus, there is underground parking so don’t need to worry about parking in general. The customer service was great. They always checked on us to make sure we got what we needed. We could sit longer than expected. Usually restaurants would kick customers out when the dinner was finished. We really appreciate they let us stayed for a bit even though we had dinner more than 2 hrs. We did keep eating though because we ordered a lot and didn’t expect there was quite a lot of food.

Although some items were marked with red peppers to indicate spice, most dishes were only mildly spicy, except for the jellyfish, which had a stronger kick. The flavors were rich and well-balanced overall, and the food portions were generous. Service: The customer service was excellent. The staff frequently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, and they were friendly and attentive throughout. What impressed me most was that they didn’t rush us out, even after we had been there for more than two hours. We truly appreciated being able to relax and continue eating at our own pace. Environment: The restaurant is clean, lively, and comfortable—great for a casual night out with friends. It’s conveniently located with street parking, a shared lot, and even underground parking, so finding a spot is easy.

Fun place to order a variety of skewers while sipping decently priced bottles of Chinese lager. Open late and the atmosphere welcomes loud conversation with laughter amongst close friends huddled around the table. The award winning cumin lamb skewers are a must order in my opinion…even if you don’t generally enjoy lamb!
